Why 5 hours?
On December 5th 2022 former Secretary of State and architect of the Bill George Eustice MP estimated the Bill would only take 5 hours of parliamentary time to complete its passage in the House of Commons, given it has already passed First Reading, Second Reading, and Committee Stage.
The Government maintains that it is committed to returning this vital Bill, though it has been delayed for more than 15 months
